My brother Bernie had not visited in a while and was curious how my project was progressing. He stopped in so we started by installing anchor nuts in the tail section for the access panels and then on the instrument panel support rib. Next we fabricated some .050 thick strips to attach to the firewall to act as a mounting flange for the cowling. We cut strips for the top, bottom and sides and fitted and drilled the top strip to the firewall flange. We made a start on fitting the right hand strip before calling it a day.
